If you want to heal others using reiki or to do self-healing, you’ll need to do an attunement process with a Reiki Master. The ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class. This ability is passed on during an attunement given by a Reiki master and allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of life force energy to balance the mind and body, enhancing the quality of life.
A Reiki Master is someone who has been attuned to the highest level of reiki. The attunement process opens up your body so that you’re able to transmit healing energy, and lasts for your entire life.
You can take a course to learn reiki levels 1, 2, and 3. Level 1 is a one day class that will usually be at least 5 hours long. Level 2 and 3 can be completed in one or two days. The student will require to be physically present for the class and attunement processes. After the third level, there is one more level to be a Reiki Master.
You must allow some time in between each level. This gives you time to get some experience in the practice and to develop your skills. You can do self healing or can perform reiki on other people, plants, and animals.
